We recently had the pleasure of completing a stunning kitchen renovation in Bridge of Earn, Scotland, and we’re excited to share the results! Our team worked closely with the homeowners to create a space that’s not only more functional but also a lot more stylish. Here's a look at what we achieved and some of the challenges we faced along the way.
Problems Encountered During the Job:
As with any renovation, we faced a few challenges during the process, but we were able to overcome them to ensure the project was completed on time and to the highest standard:
Hidden Plumbing Issues: During the demolition, we uncovered some old pipes that needed to be replaced. This wasn’t expected but was crucial for ensuring everything worked properly in the new setup.
Delivery Delays: As with many projects these days, some materials took a little longer to arrive than we initially planned. However, we worked around this by focusing on other areas of the renovation while waiting for the final items to come in.
Design Adjustments: While the design was planned carefully, some minor changes were made mid-project to better suit the homeowner’s evolving preferences. This was no problem for us, as we’re always ready to adapt and make sure the result is exactly what the client wants.
Living Without a Kitchen: The homeowners had to make do without a fully functioning kitchen for a little while, which can be challenging. But they were understanding, and we did everything we could to minimize the disruption.
We have done:
Cabinet Update: The old cabinets were replaced with sleek, modern units that offer more storage and a cleaner, more streamlined look. The new design makes the kitchen feel brighter and more spacious.
New Countertops: We chose high-quality quartz countertops, offering both durability and elegance. The clean, smooth surface is perfect for cooking and entertaining.
Lighting Makeover: To enhance the ambiance and functionality, we installed modern lighting, including under-cabinet LEDs and pendant lights over the island. This not only improved visibility but also created a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Fresh Backsplash: A contemporary subway tile backsplash added the perfect finishing touch. The design complements the overall style while being easy to maintain.
Improved Layout: The kitchen’s layout was reworked to maximize space and flow. We made sure the design suited the homeowner’s needs, creating a more practical and comfortable environment for cooking and family gatherings.
